I was digging through my sock drawer the other day so I could refresh my memory as to who I chose for the NFC Championship game. After I tossed a few black dress socks to the side, I located my sock drawer predictions that I had done before the season began, nicely folded towards the back of the drawer. I was pleased to see that I had one of the two teams correct for the NFC Championship game. Trust me, it was not the Chicago Bears.

Do you really know anyone that had the Bears picked to go this… Continue reading

When Blake Griffin went down with a season ending knee injury before last season even started, it really didn’t have much of an effect on anyone who follows NBA basketball. Why? He was a rookie with the LA Clippers, enough said. Nobody gives a flip who plays for the Clip joint and nobody ever pays attention to them either. Hell, they don’t even have there own arena to play in. The Clippers share the Staples center with their roomates, back to back champion LA Lakers. Talk about a great wing man.

You don’t have to be a sports geek… Continue reading

Rex Ryan said all along it’s personal and it was between him and Bill Belichick. Whether it was talking smack, licking toes, kissing feet, who the hell knows. The only part of the anatomy that mattered last night in Foxboro was the brain and Jets Head Coach Rex Ryan outsmarted & out coached the so-called genius, Bill Belichick in a  stunning 28-21 win to advance to the AFC Championship.

Some love him, many hate him. Rex Ryan either rubs you the right way or the wrong way. Ask his wife, trust me, she’ll tell you. All the bravado, antics… Continue reading

Wow! Talk about a brilliant performance by an NFL quarterback. My goodness Aaron Rogers was absolutely spectacular in the Packers mauling of the Atlanta Falcons last night 48-21 to advance to the NFC Championship at a site TBD. Are we sure that wasn’t Brett Favre disguised as # 12 Aaron Rogers?

As I wrote yesterday, the Packers defense was going to be the difference and they were. Totally dominating the Falcons and Matt Ryan. They pressured Ryan all day, forced him into some hurried throws and of course bad tosses too. Traymon Williams pick in the corner of the… Continue reading

Yea, yea, yea. I’ve heard it all week about the Seahawks shocking win at home over defending Super Bowl Champion New Orleans Saints. Hey, don’t get me wrong, it was a hell of a win and featured one of the greatest runs by Marshawn Lynch in playoff history. Enough Already! I’ve also heard all week that Seattle beat the Bears earlier this year in Soldier Field. OKAY! I got it Seahawk people.

Let Pete Carroll dance around the sidelines like a player himself and I’m sure we’ll see plenty of that before kickoff Sunday in frigid cold Chicago. Trust… Continue reading
